Last updated March 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how IntentLock (“IntentLock,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the IntentLock mobile application, our support channels, and the privacy policy page located at https://zenbyteplatform.com/intentlock-privacy-policy/ .

IntentLock is a productivity and focus application designed to help users reduce distractions, block apps or websites, create focus routines, review on-device usage insights, and optionally use premium features. We aim to minimize data collection and keep as much information as possible on your device.

Important: IntentLock does not require you to create an account to use the app.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Depending on which features you use, IntentLock may process the following categories of information:

A. Information you configure in the app

  • Focus rules, schedules, selected apps, selected websites, app lock settings, themes, and other preferences
  • Optional location-based focus routine details, such as a searched place, selected address, coordinates, and geofence radius
  • Premium settings and entitlement status needed to unlock paid features

B. Information processed from your device for app functionality

  • App activity and usage information, such as app launches, app foreground events, and screen-time related data, if you grant usage access
  • Accessibility-related context, if you enable the accessibility service required for app and website protection features
  • Website domain information used for website blocking, website previews, or supported browser protection features
  • Optional precise location information, if you enable location-based routines
  • Permission and device-status information needed to determine whether protections are properly enabled

C. Purchase and subscription information

  • Google Play Billing may provide us or the app with product details, subscription status, purchase status, trial eligibility, and entitlement information for premium features

D. Diagnostics and technical information

  • Crash logs, diagnostics, request metadata, technical events, and SDK or device identifiers may be processed by third-party platform or SDK providers used by the app

We do not require usernames, passwords, email sign-up, or account registration to use IntentLock.

2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain IntentLock and its core features
  • Enable app blocking, website blocking, focus routines, reminders, app lock, and local analytics features
  • Support optional location-based routines and geofence features
  • Display map previews, place search results, and website-related previews when you use those features
  • Verify premium purchases and manage premium access
  • Monitor stability, diagnose bugs or crashes, improve reliability, and protect the security of the app
  • Respond to support requests, legal inquiries, or compliance obligations

3. WHAT PERMISSIONS DOES INTENTLOCK USE?

Depending on which features you enable, IntentLock may request or rely on the following permissions and system capabilities:

  • Accessibility Service – used to support app and website blocking, focus protection, and related protection features
  • Usage Access – used to measure app activity, screen time, and app usage needed for protection and insights
  • Location – optional and used only if you enable location-based routines or geofence functionality
  • Notifications – used to deliver reminders, protection notices, and optional behavior or encouragement notifications
  • Overlay / system alert window – used to display blocking and protection overlays where supported
  • Battery optimization / boot handling – used so protections and routines can continue to function more reliably after restarts or system changes
  • Internet / network access – used for billing, maps, place search, website previews, and technical service integrations

Some permissions are required for specific protections to work. Optional permissions, such as location, can generally be withheld by the user, although the related feature may then be unavailable.

4. WHEN IS DATA SENT OFF YOUR DEVICE?

Much of IntentLock’s information remains stored locally on your device. However, some data may be transmitted off-device when needed to support functionality or third-party services. Examples include:

  • Google Play Billing requests for premium purchases, subscriptions, and entitlement verification
  • Google Places or Google Maps requests when you use optional place search or map preview features
  • Website preview or favicon requests used to render website-related visuals in the app
  • Diagnostics, crash, or technical telemetry processed by platform or SDK providers

Where data is transmitted over the network, we use service integrations intended to operate over encrypted connections.

5. DO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES?

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to third parties only in the limited ways described below:

  • Service providers and platform providers that help us provide billing, place search, maps, diagnostics, security, hosting, and technical functionality
  • Legal and regulatory authorities if required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request
  • Protection-related disclosures when reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, safety, users, the app, or the public
  • Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets

We do not use IntentLock to sell user profiles, rent user data, or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

IntentLock may rely on third-party services and SDKs, including but not limited to:

  • Google Play Billing
  • Google Places / Google Maps Platform
  • Google Play services
  • Other providers needed to render website preview data or app assets

These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage users to review those policies where relevant.

7. INTERNATIONAL USERS AND WORLDWIDE DATA PROCESSING

IntentLock may be used worldwide. As a result, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps intended to ensure that international transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.

8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP INFORMATION?

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the app, maintain app integrity, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

  • Locally stored rules, settings, challenge history, and usage summaries may remain on your device until you delete them, reset local app data, or uninstall the app
  • Billing-related records may be retained as necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, compliance, and dispute handling
  • Third-party providers may retain diagnostics or technical records under their own retention schedules

9. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. For that reason, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are also responsible for helping protect your device by using device-level protections such as a passcode, biometric lock, encryption, and up-to-date operating system software.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

IntentLock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law provides a higher minimum age for digital consent, we will apply that standard where required.
